The Brady Bunch House: Real Estate Stardom

Back in 1969, there was a story of a lovely lady… and, well you know the rest. The Brady Bunch quickly became a household television show that Americans constantly tuned in for. No one who watched could possibly forget that gorgeous home, displayed at the beginning of the show. Certainly not HGTV, who made a new series called A Very Brady Renovation – focusing on four phases of renovating the original property. Curious how this all started? Keep reading to find out more!

July 2018 – The Brady’s Home Hits the Market for $1.8 Million

A 2,477 square-foot, ranch-style home, the Brady Bunch house hit the market hard by becoming available for the first time since it originally aired on television. While the show itself was filmed at Paramount Studios, this home has been located in Studio City, California.   

August 2018 – HGTV Purchases the House for over $3 Million

Who would have thought that a home could be sold for double the asking price? Well, that’s just how bidding wars go sometimes – with a good agent, of course. In fact, *NSYNC’s own Lance Bass was on the losing side of the deal this time around. We can confirm that he did not work with BHHS Select this time around.

November 2018 – HGTV Begins Working on A Very Brady Renovation

Believe it or not, HGTV was able to successfully bring back all six Brady children including Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Eve Plumb (Jan), Susan Olsen (Cindy), Barry Williams (Greg), Chris Knight (Peter), and Mike Lookinland (Bobby). Each of them was a vital member on the show, helping make changes to the interior so that it could look just like the set once had.

September 2019 - A Very Brady Renovation Goes Viral

Millions of people were glued to their seats to see just what was happening with the renovations that have been talked up for over a year’s time. With four episodes planned for release, fans could see their childhood memories rebuilt right in front of their eyes.

October 2019 – The End of An Era?

HGTV’s four episodes passed by in the blink of an eye, leaving viewers wondering what’s next for the iconic home. In the meantime, the popular network has decided to release behind-the-scenes content with special guests and all kinds of other surprises.
